The Shrimpers Trust appreciates the update provided by Cllr Daniel Cowan on 15th June regarding Southend on Sea City Council’s position in relation to the land transaction deal required to facilitate the takeover of Southend United FC by the consortium led by Justin Rees (COSU).

A Match For Glenn Eckett
Canvey Island Football Club are assisting in raising funds to financially help Glen Eckett, his wife and young family by arranging a Canvey Island Legends v Southend United Legends (fronted by Steve Tilson) game on July 28th 3pm at Park Lane on Canvey.

IT’S A SHRIMPER PITCH INVASION!
On 19 May 1906 in the Blue Boar, our beloved Southend United was formed. To mark the 118th anniversary of this special day we have produced a fantastic new print entitled ‘Southend United Pitch Invasion’.
On the print are the names of every player since 1906 who has notched up at least 100 first team appearances for us (plus a few merit cases – we couldn’t leave out Stanley!).

SHRIMPERS TRUST END OF SEASON REPORT – 2022/23
So close and yet….
Another season is over, and we can only rue what might have been given some changes in just a few key areas. To finish marginally shy of the play-offs was some achievement given the circumstances Kevin Maher and his team had to contend with during the 2022/23 campaign.
