North Bank Reopens
Following collaborative efforts with Shrimpers Trust and The Blue Voice, SUFC will be reopening the Solopress North Bank stand to home supporters for their final four home games.
The Shrimpers Trust will be running a fundraiser to put money towards various items such as flags, balloons, and potential displays that will help encourage and improve the atmosphere which the club have agreed to match up to a £2,500 cap.

As well as partnering on the fundraiser, The Blue Voice will be relocating themselves in Block NB of the Solopress North Bank to create a focal point for active support.
Supporters can move their season ticket seats to the Solopress North Bank free of charge, as we look to roar our Shrimpers team home from all four sides of the stadium. We encourage supporters who wish to show their vocal support to the team to base themselves in Block NB ahead of our dedicated ‘Flag Day’ against Wealdstone, with more details to be revealed in the future.
How do I move my seat?
- Email tickets@southend-united.co.uk with your SHR number, confirming that you are happy to relocate and be a part of our Blue Voice for the remainder of the season.
- Call the BTMK Box Office on 03444 77 00 77 – option 1.
- Visit the BTMK Box Office and discuss your move.
If I move my seat, will I be able to keep my original seat for 2025/26 season?
Yes, season ticket holders who relocate to the North Bank will be given a dedicated swap period to move back to their original seats in the summer, should they wish to.
Liam Ager from the Shrimpers Trust said: “The Trust is delighted to see the Club listening and working directly with supporters’ groups as the North Bank is reopened to home fans. We all know the difference a loud and passionate Roots Hall crowd can make and it was an easy decision to partner with the Club to operate a fundraising scheme for The Blue Voice as part of this relaunch.
“Since its inception, The Blue Voice has worked tirelessly to improve the matchday experience for Shrimpers, home and away. We know that with additional resources and support there is scope for more noise, more colour and more passion. For years players have heaped praise upon the crowds at Roots Hall and so we’re proud to be able to support the Club’s efforts to reopen the North Bank and the work of The Blue Voice to provide the Roots Hall Roar.
“For those supporters that wish to support the scheme, please visit https://www.shrimperstrust.co.uk/donation and select The Blue Voice as the cause. Anyone can donate; membership of the Trust is not required and all monies raised are ringfenced for this purpose only.”
Dan McEvoy from the Blue Voice added: “Our mission as a group has always been to generate an atmosphere at both home & away games that we, as both fans and as a club, can be proud to be a part of. To see our small singing block in the West Stand sold out consistently for practically every home game over the past few seasons is incredible, and the support from fans and the club for this has been immense.
“With that in mind, and with the club’s NextGen offer being extended to the end of the season, we feel that the decision to relocate The Blue Voice (TBV) to the North Bank presents a massive opportunity for us as a group and as vocal fans to further enhance our support for the team, in what could prove to be a hugely important final four home games.
“We will be situated in the centre of our allocation in the North Bank and we encourage all fans who want to play their part in getting Roots Hall roaring for our final four games to join us in the North Bank, and help give our team the backing they truly need to finish the season as strongly as possible!”
Tickets For The Final Four
SUFC are pleased to confirm ticket details for their final four home matches of the 2024/25 Vanarama National League campaign, starting with the visit of Oldham Athletic on Saturday, March 29.
Currently ninth in the table and just three points outside the play-offs, they need everyone’s support for the final push at the end of this season as they aim for a strong finish.
“Our fans have been nothing short of exceptional this season,” said head coach Kevin Maher. “The players feed off the energy created by the supporters at Roots Hall and away from home, and I’m excited to see where we can go as we all play our part.”
NextGen Continues
After the success of SUFC’s NextGen Day fixture against Altrincham, they have decided to extend the ticketing offer to the remaining matches at Roots Hall.
A total of 7,776 supporters cheered them on to a 2-1 victory over the Robins, many of whom were at their first match in SS2.
For each of their remaining matches, under-16s can purchase a ticket for just £1, while tickets for 17- to 22-year-olds are available for £5.
Flexi-Ticket – Creating#SeaOfBlue
SUFC want to create a Sea of Blue in the stands of Roots Hall for their final home fixtures, and so all adults and concessions can take advantage of their Flexi Ticket offer and buy tickets for the remaining four matches for the price of just three.
Adults – £66
Senior (61+)/Emergency Services/Disabled – £51
